Almond flour/flax pizza crust

Recipe is courtesy of Polly Bailey Hooper

This is a good alternative for pizza crust if you like crispy crust. It held up just like regular pizza crust. This is much easier to prepare than cauliflower crust.

Few notes: it has more calories and carbs than the cauliflower pizza. Double the calories. I've done a comparison and you can choose which version works better for your plan. Of course your numbers will differ on which toppings you choose. Mine was made with turkey sausage crumbles, red onion, bell pepper, bacon bits and cheese. My family enjoyed it, my mother actually preferred it over the cauliflower since she likes crispy pizza. For me, I prefer the softer cauliflower crust with less calories and carbs and meets the 1:10 protein:calorie ratio.

1 c golden milled flax seed
1/2 c almond flour
1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/8 tsp salt
3 large eggs

Preheat I've to 350
Mix all ingredients to a sticky dough. Put dough ball on parchment paper then cover with plastic wrap and roll out crust evenly to a thin crust

Bake 10-13 minutes until it's begins to brown.

Remove and add your toppings of choice and continue cooking until cheese melted. Approximately 10 minutes, depending on oven.
